The Voluntary Human Extinction Movement: VHEMT (pronounced vehement) is a movement not an organization. It's a movement advanced by people who care about life on planet Earth. We're not just a bunch of misanthropes and anti-social, Malthusian misfits, taking morbid delight whenever disaster strikes humans. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Voluntary human extinction is the humanitarian alternative to human disasters. We don't carry on about how the human race has shown itself to be a greedy, amoral parasite on the once-healthy face of this planet. That type of negativity offers no solution to the inexorable horrors which human activity is causing. Rather, The Movement presents an encouraging alternative to the callous exploitation and wholesale destruction of Earth's ecology. As VHEMT Volunteers know, the hopeful alternative to the extinction of millions of species of plants and animals is the voluntary extinction of one species: Homo sapiens... us. Each time another one of us decides to not add another one of us to the burgeoning billions already squatting on this ravaged planet, another ray of hope shines through the gloom. When every human chooses to stop breeding, Earth's biosphere will be allowed to return to its former glory, and all remaining creatures will be free to live, die, evolve (if they believe in evolution), and will perhaps pass away, as so many of Nature's “experiments” have done throughout the eons. The Daily Telegraph, July 27, 2010: Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Iranian leader, says Paul the Octopus, the sea creature that correctly predicted the outcome of World Cup games, is a symbol of all that is wrong with the western world. He claims that the octopus is a symbol of decadence and decay among "his enemies." Paul, who lives at the Oberhausen Sea Life Centre, in Germany, won the hearts of the Spanish by predicting their World Cup victory. He became an international star after predicting the outcome of all seven German World Cup matches accurately. However, the Iranian president accused the octopus of spreading "western propaganda and superstition." Paul was mentioned by Mr Ahmadinejad on various occasions during a speech in Tehran at the weekend. "Those who believe in this type of thing cannot be the leaders of the global nations that aspire, like Iran, to human perfection, basing themselves in the love of all sacred values," he said - Mahmoud Ahmadinejad attacks Octopus Paul

Eater, July 28, 2010: The former Prime Minister of Australia Kevin Rudd is apparently known for being a very angry guy, and after Burger King released the so-called Angry Burger, the next logical step was for comedy team The Chasers to make a parody called the Angry Kevin Burger. According to the sketch, the Angry Kevin Burger is a beef patty topped with bile and "spilt blood," then "lovingly rat-fucked by the factional leaders." That's one pretty pissed off burger!

Det finnes myndigheter i Somalia, men selv om landet både har en president og en statsminister så er det nok et stykke igjen til sivilisasjon. Fra CIA Factbook - Somalia:
