IDF Spokesperson, July 7, 2010: The following declassified intelligence maps as well as the 3D animated clip illustrate how Hezbollah, in the four years since the Second Lebanon War, has turned over 100 villages in South Lebanon into military bases. These maps and the 3D clip illustrate how Hezbollah stores their weapons near schools, hospitals, and residential buildings in the village of al-Khiam. They follow similar tactics in villages across southern Lebanon, essentially using the residents as human shields, in gross violation of UN Resolution 1701. al-Khiam was used as a rocket launching site during the Second Lebanon war. During the Second Lebanon war, Hezbollah stored their weapons in open areas for the most part, which enabled the IDF to locate and destroy their stores. In the four years since then, Hezbollah has pursued a tactic of moving their weapons into civilian villages, essentially institutionalizing the tactic of using human shields on a large scale - How Hezbollah Uses Lebanese Villages as Military Bases

General Ashkenazi har selvfølgelig helt rett:

Ma'an News Agency, July 20, 2010: Israel is prepared to attack Hizbullah in populated areas where weapons are stashed, Israel's army chief Gabi Ashkenazi said Tuesday. "It is quiet now, but we are monitoring developments and are ready for all possibilities," Ashkenazi told Israel Radio, speaking from Rome where he is on an official visit. Ashkenazi said Israeli intelligence was surveying Hezbollah armament and weapons' storage in populated areas, adding that the Israeli army would "not hesitate" to bombard them should confrontations resurface. “Hezbollah prefers to hide weapons in populated areas in an attempt to protect them from Israeli attacks, yet if war erupts again, we will have no other choice but to target these caches and their surroundings, and Hezbollah will be responsible for that,” he added - Israel army 'ready' to bomb Hizbullah in civilian areas

The Jerusalem Post, July 26, 2010: The IDF will attack Lebanese government institutions if Israel is again subjected to rocket attacks, Defense Minister Ehud Barak said in an interview with The Washington Post published Sunday. He told the newspaper that since the Lebanese goverment is allowing Hizbullah to rearm, "we will not run after each Hizbullah terrorist or launcher. We will see it as legitimate to hit any target that belongs to the Lebanese state, not just to Hizbullah" - 'If Hizbullah strikes, we hit Lebanon'

Ynetnews, August 24, 2010: Clashes broke out in Beirut Tuesday evening between the Shiite organizations Hezbollah and Amal and the Sunni militia al-Ahbash. Lebanese media reported that at least three people were killed, one of them is believed to be a senior Hezbollah official. The Lebanese army was deployed to the scene, and mosques in the area urged the gunmen on both sides to hold their fire. Fighting started Tuesday night in the Burj Abu Haidar neighborhood in downtown Beirut, and included RPGs and automatic weapons. According to the report, a Chevrolet containing four Hezbollah operatives entered the mixed Sunni-Shiite neighborhood in the Lebanese capital, and the passengers opened fire. The situation quickly escalated, and the Sunnis fired back at the vehicle. According to media reports, a mosque affiliated with the Sunni group has been torched, as well. The senior Hezbollah man killed in the fighting was Muhammad Fawaz, the organization's leading man in the neighborhood where the clashes took place. His assistant, Mahdi Hadi, was also killed in the incident. Lebanese authorities said Fawaz Omeirat, of the radical Sunni al-Ahbash group was also killed - Fire on Beirut's streets: Hezbollah, Sunnis clash

The Jerusalem Post, August 27, 2010: The US warned Lebanon that if it did not prevent any recurrence of the border-fire incident that occurred earlier this month, the IDF would destroy the Lebanese Armed Forces within four hours, Israel Radio cited a report by Lebanese newspaper A-Liwaa on Friday. According to the report, Frederick Hoff, assistant to US Middle East Peace Envoy George Mitchell, told Lebanese Army chief of staff Jean Kahwaji that Israel was ready to implement a plan to destroy within four hours all Lebanese military infrastructure, including army bases and offices, should a similar confrontation occur in the future - 'Israel ready to destroy Lebanese Army in four hours'

Haaretz, August 30, 2010: Last week, Iran's Defense Minister Gen. Ahmad Vahidi's said that Tehran was willing to sell weapons to Lebanon if Beirut asks for help in equipping its military. Vahidi's comments came a day after the leader of Lebanon's Shiite Hezbollah group, Sheik Hassan Nasrallah, called on the Lebanese government to formally seek military assistance from Iran. "Lebanon is our friend," Vahidi was quoted as saying by the official IRNA news agency. "If there is a demand in this respect, we are ready to help that country and conduct weapons transactions with it." In a televised speech on Tuesday, Nasrallah vowed that his Iranian-backed group could help secure the aid for Lebanon's poorly equipped army. The Hezbollah leader made his suggestion after a U.S. congressman suspended $100 million of American military aid to Lebanon earlier this month over concerns the weapons could be used against Israel and that Hezbollah may have influence over the Lebanese army. Israel Defense Forces Spokesperson, September 3, 2010: Video footage of the aftermath of the explosion today in Al-Shahabiya, a village in southern Lebanon, shows smoke rising from a building. Hezbollah controls this area of Lebanon and the building where the explosion occurred was used as a Hezbollah weapons storage facility. Today’s incident is only one of many that clearly show that Hezbollah systematically violates United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701, which stipulates that Hezbollah should be disarmed and that no paramilitary groups will be active south of the Litani river - Explosion of a Hezbollah Weapons Storage Facility in the Village of Al-Shahabiya

The Jerusalem Post, September 19, 2010: Special Hizbullah units in Iran have successfully launched and tested a new Iranian missile "Fatah 110," according to a report over the weekend by Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Rai. According to the report, the Iranian missile, which was displayed with great pride in Teheran less than a month ago, has a maximum range of 200 kilometers. This means it is capable of reaching Jerusalem and Ashdod if it was to be launched from the Israel-Lebanon border. The Kuwait newspaper said the test launches took place in Iran since such an event could not take place in Lebanon. Last week, senior Hizbullah officials broadened their "bank of targets" to include top Israeli security officials. The pictures of prominent officials were placed on playing cards, in terms of rank, similar to how the US prioritized its targets at the beginning of the Iraq war - Report: Hizbullah successfully tests new missile in Iran

Naharnet, October 4, 2010: Lebanon is facing a full-blown crisis as tensions over a U.N.-probe into the murder of its ex-premier mount with Syria, and a standoff between rival parties escalates, analysts warned on Monday. The crisis which has been brewing for weeks is linked to unconfirmed reports the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, or STL, is set to accuse members of Hizbullah of being implicated in the 2005 assassination of ex-premier Rafik Hariri. Syria added fuel to the fire on Sunday by issuing arrest warrants against 33 people, among them several Lebanese officials, over alleged false testimony given in the case. "The situation has taken a dangerous turn and the arrest warrants can be likened to a pressure cooker that has had its lid blown off," said Hilal Khashan, political science professor at the American University of Beirut. "There is really nothing to stop things from escalating further," he added. Paul Salem, the director of the Carnegie Middle East Center in Beirut, said he expects strains between Hizbullah and Prime Minister Saad Hariri -- son of the slain ex-premier -- to worsen and the real trouble to start after Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad visits Lebanon October 13 and 14 - Analysts: Lebanon Heading toward Crisis over Hariri Case

The Rubin Report, October 25, 2010: How can I possibly resist this one? Dr. Aleida Guevara, daughter of Cuban revolutionary Che Guevara, visited Lebanon recently and voiced support for Hizballah. Guevara, who works at a children’s hospital in Havana, laid a wreath at the tomb of Hizballah leader Abbas Al-Musawi. No, she wasn’t wearing the tee-shirt. The Hizballah official escorting her explained, “We are conducting resistance for the sake of liberty and justice, and to liberate our land and people from the Zionist occupation, which receives all the aid it needs from the U.S. administration." Guevara responded: "I think that as long as their memory remains within us, we will have more strength, and that strength will grow and develop, until we make great achievements and complete our journey to certain victory…."If we do not conduct resistance, we will disappear from the face of the earth. The Washington Institute for Near East Policy, July 27, 2011: In June, Lebanon's new prime minister, Najib Mikati, announced the formation of a government dominated by members and allies of the Shiite terrorist organization Hezbollah. The creation of the new government has made Hezbollah the most dominant political force in Lebanon just six years after the "Cedar Revolution," which placed the group on the defensive and forced its Syrian patrons to leave the country. With control of the Lebanese government, a vast social-service network, an army of soldiers and operatives, and an arsenal of more than 40,000 rockets, Hezbollah has arguably never been more powerful - Hezbollah: Party of Fraud

Hizbollah bedriver storstilt narkosmugling i samarbeid med det mexikanske Zeta-kartellet:

New York Post, January 3, 2012: It’s hard to uphold a reputation as a devoutly religious terrorist group if you make millions selling cocaine. Just ask Hezbollah. Last month, the US government filed suit against a number of American and Lebanese businesses that allegedly helped bankroll the Lebanese terrorist group. The civil indictment in Manhattan blew the lid off a vast criminal network that included money-laundering, cocaine deals and more — including 30 US car dealerships that helped the group launder cash. As one investigator quipped, Hezbollah is the “Gambinos on steroids.” The indictment charges Hezbollah kingpin Ayman Joumaa with smuggling more than 100 tons of Colombian cocaine with the Mexican Zetas drug cartel, yielding hundreds of millions of dollars for the terror group - Pious coke dealers?
