Washington Institute for Near East Policy, September 20, 2010: On September 17, 2010, Jeffrey White and Andrew Exum addressed a special Policy Forum luncheon at The Washington Institute to mark the release of Mr. White's new Institute report If War Comes: Israel vs. Hizballah and Its Allies, an assessment of potential future conflict between Israel and Hizballah and its implications for the region. The past several months have seen much discussion of growing tensions between Israel and Hizballah, and many observers speculate that another war between the two entities may well occur in the near term. If so, it will likely have a transformative, even fateful impact on Israel, Lebanon, and the region as a whole. A war could result from a miscalculation or a deliberate decision by Israel or Hizballah. Such a war will likely be intense, destructive, and broad in scope, involving Israel, Hizballah, Lebanon's military, and possibly Syria, Iran, and Hamas - If War Comes: Israel vs. Hizballah and Its Allies

Det er visstnok vanlig å ha kontakt med terrororganisasjonen Hamas, og den norske regjeringen er blant de ivrigste:

Jerusalem post, October 23, 2010: A senior UNRWA official broached two largely taboo topics at a conference in Washington on Friday, saying governments across Europe and the world have had contacts with Hamas and that Palestinian refugees should acknowledge that they will almost certainly not be returning to Israel. Andrew Whitley, due to soon leave his post as director of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency’s New York Representative Office, told the National Council for US-Arab Relations’ annual conference that contacts with Hamas were commonplace. “I think it’s fair to say that all governments, whether they admit it or not, have had discrete contact with Hamas,” Whitley said. He singled out Norway, Switzerland and Germany as “quietly” having contacts - UNRWA official: Hamas in contact with most foreign nations

Kuwait News Agency, October 24, 2010: Hamas and Fatah have agreed to meet next week to discuss security issues and inter-Palestinian reconciliation efforts, Hamas said in a statement Sunday. The statement noted that the venue for the meeting has not been set yet, but it is most likely to take place in Damascus - Hamas, Fatah to meet next week

Haaretz, October 28, 2010: Nigeria's secret service said on Tuesday it had intercepted 13 containers of weapons from Iran in what Israeli defense sources believe may be part of a new smuggling route from Iran to Hamas in Gaza. Rocket launchers, grenades and other explosives camouflaged as building material were seized in the Nigerian port of Lagos after being unloaded from an Iranian ship - Nigeria intercepts 13 Iran missile containers possibly destined for Gaza

The Jerusalem Post, November 2, 2010: Outgoing head of Military Intelligence Maj.-Gen. Amos Yadlin may have initially waxed sentimental on Tuesday during his final appearance before the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, but the MI head later gave a stark warning regarding Iran’s nuclear program, and painted a grim portrait of what Israel’s next war could look like - MI chief: Iran and Russia giving Syria advanced weapons

Muslim student defends Israel at UN!

FrontPageMag, April 15, 2011: To Hasan Afzal, the reaction to his new pro-Israel group may demonstrate just why the organization is necessary. “I’ve been really overwhelmed just by how shocked people have been that there’s been a group called British Muslims for Israel,” Afzal said. That surprise isn’t surprising - British Muslims for Israel

Reuters, May 1, 2011: Israel said on Sunday it has suspended tax transfers to the Palestinians in response to their U.S.-backed president's agreement to forge an alliance with rival Hamas Islamists opposed to peace talks. A senior Palestinian official in the occupied West Bank said Israel had no right to withhold Palestinian funds. Israeli Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz said he had suspended a routine handover of 300 million shekels ($88 million) in customs and other levies that Israel collects on behalf of the Palestinians under interim peace deals. In an interview on Army Radio, Steinitz said that Israel feared the money would be used to fund Hamas, an Islamist militant group that runs the Gaza Strip and whose founding charter calls for the destruction of the Jewish state - Israel suspends tax transfer to Palestinians

Israel National News, July 23, 2011: The August 2011 IDF recruitment cycle will begin Monday, July 24. The youth joining the IDF in this cycle were born in the summer and fall of 1993 – just when then-Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin signed the ill-fated Oslo Accords with PLO strongman Yasser Arafat. When the “Oslo babies” were three years old, savage Hamas terrorists began blowing up buses full of civilian men, women and children inside Israel. When they were seven years old, Arafat launched the terror war dubbed by many as “the Oslo War,” which killed over 1,000 Israelis, most of them civilians, and injured many thousands more. The carnage peaked in 2002 and 2003, and did not ebb until 2005. The PLO sought to break Israel’s spirit by making civilians feel they were not safe anywhere - ‘Oslo Generation’ Joins Army

CBN, August 5, 2011: A new poll among Palestinians indicates there's overwhelming support for the charter of the terrorist group Hamas -- a dangerous element if the Palestinians gain statehood in September. The Israel Project found that 80 percent Palestinians support Hamas. The desire to annihilate the Jewish people is one of the main goals of the Hamas organization. "Eighty percent is a very frightening number so it's very disturbing to see these significant numbers," Jennifer Laszlo-Mizrachi, founder and president of The Israel Project. "But that's still not surprising because they have been indoctrinated over generations to hate Israel and Jews," she added - Poll Reveals 4 out of 5 Palestinians Support Hamas
